Frosted Robin Cupcakes Takes Steps Toward Energy Efficiency

Frosted Robin Cupcakes- a unique cupcake shop located in Seaport Village. This Port of San Diego tenant has been focusing on energy retrofits to reduce their environmental impact.

Even though they are a small business, Frosted Robin shows us how small steps can help save both money and energy. And for small businesses, every penny counts.

Frosted Robin recently worked with San Diego Gas & Electric to take advantage of the Direct Install Program. This is a free program for small businesses that helped them change all of their lighting to become more energy efficient. Frosted Robin Cupcakes also had their air conditioner serviced – another great way of cutting energy use.

They also put a timer on their kitchen lighting to prevent leaving the lights on when no one is around.
