Hilton San Diego Bayfront, a Sustainable Leader along the Bay

The Hilton San Diego Bayfront, adjacent to the San Diego Convention Center, is a downtown hotel with a strong sustainable business ethic. This Port of San Diego tenant is recognized as one of the leading green hotels along San Diego Bay.   

Here are some initiatives they have undertaken to improve the environment and make the Bay a better place:

• All food scraps are composted to divert unnecessary waste from the landfill.
• They donate untouched leftovers to a local organization called Embrace, which uses the food to feed the homeless in San Diego.
• Leftover toiletries are collected from hotel rooms and donated to Lily of the Valley Orphanage in Mexico instead of being thrown away.
