Beginning EnergyPro 7 Nonresidential

This class is designed for people new to the EnergyPro software. During this class we will introduce participants to the basic input and modeling requirements to document commercial building envelope, lighting and mechanical systems with the 2016 Title 24 Standards. Participants in this workshop will be provided the opportunity to practice using the latest version of EnergyPro 7, please plan to bring a laptop with the software installed. Mr. Dodd will highlight aspects of the Standards that are new for 2016e.

  • Learn how to properly model Nonresidential HVAC systems
  • Learn how to properly model Nonresidential indoor lighting systems
  • Understand the California code requirements related to Nonresidential HVAC, envelope and indoor lighting systems

Speaker

Martyn Dodd of EnergySoft in Novato, CA, is an industry expert in performance-based building analysis. He has written software programs used in California for Title 24 energy code compliance since 1985, including EnergyPro, COMPLY 24, and the California Energy Commission's Perform software. He is also one of the original authors of the 1992 Non-residential Alternative Calculation Method Manual, which defines the rules for code compliance software and has become the model for national and international code compliance software procedures.
